Last years Moscow Zoo was quite reconstructed. Many new expositions were build, but the reconstruction was not finished yet.

This work, keeping of zoo collection and supporting to education and science projects are very expansive and it's difficult for Moscow municipal budget.

The Animal Adoption program aimed to getting help to the Moscow Zoo not only from the Moscow Government, but from everyone, who has possibilities for such help and likes alive animals in the Earth.

Any person or organisation which choose the animals for adoption may conclude the agreement on philanthropic help. The information about your philanthropy will appear on the enclosure of "your" animal.

We are tender grateful those who adopt an animals and those who plans to do it.


On April 1, 2000 an agreement with Mr. Borodavchenko was concluded on the adoption of Warthog.

Firm "Medical House Ltd." on behalf of the "Konica" company that has adopted some animals under the Animal Adoption program, has arranged 3 entertaining and educational events.

A. Yu. Golubkov ("Visa" juridical firm) adopted a Peer David's deer.

On July 6, 1999 an agreement with company "Fortechnologia ZAO" was concluded on adoption of armadillo. Personnel of the "Mirror" TV-program have adopted a lynx female and a spectacled bear named Migel, for one year.

An agreement was finalized with the children magazine "Toshka" on issuing double-sided flyers with the information about the Zoo and the magazine.

"Nivea" of "Beiersdorf" company has extended an agreement on the adoption of the Giraffe by half a year, adopted two brown bears for the period of six months, and organized and conducted festivities for zoo visitors.

An agreement on the adoption of gibbons was concluded with the company "Midi-Print" that also had manufactured exclusive T-shorts that have been given to the zoo staff.

Mr. I. Taushkanov and Mrs. I. Alexandrova each adopted one capybara.

Mr. I. Timoshin adopted one penguin. "Mars" of TWIX company supported the celebration of the New Year.
