Look at this beautiful bird. It is siberian white crane(GRUS LEUCOGERANUS) (GRUIDAE) – one of the most rare cranes on the planet. Siberian white crane nests only in two small districts of tundra in Russia, and for winter it flies away to India and South China. During transmigration white cranes suffer various risks and only few return to nesting places. The International Union of Conservation of Nature makes efforts to save this remarkable crane. The species is kept and successfully bred in the Moscow zoo.

One can see others cranes and storks (CICONIA CICONIA) (CICONIIDAE), including rare Far East subspecies in the nearest enclosures.
