Some fishes and invertebrates are exhibited here. They hide under the stones, melting into the background. Their coloration masks them on a substratum. Stone-fish (Synanceia sp.) (SYNANCEIIDAE) is an expert in the camouflage: body shape and color make them completely invisible, when they lay motionless at the bottom, watching for a prey. Stone-fishes may hurt the swimmers with their acute spines.
