 Slow loris (NYCTICEBUS COUCANG) (LORISIDAE) is found in primary and secondary forests or in bamboo groves. It is nocturnal and arboreal. It walks slowly along branches. The diet consists of insects, caterpillars, eggs, birds, lizards, small mammals and fruits. Social structure is not studied yet. A gestation period was estimated to be about 190 days. There is usually a single young, occasionally twins. The infant is carried by both parents up to 9-10 months. The live-span is 12-14 years.
